The NBA Season

Hi readers,

This time I had the opportunity to write about whatever y want, so I've chosen to write about my opinions about the Nba in this season. For the ones that don't like the Nba or the basketball in general I'm sorry, but I'll try to write about another different topic next time.

I'm a supporter of two different teams in the Nba, the OKC Thunder and the Los Angeles Lakers. I'm a Los Angeles Lakers fan since I was little because it was the only Nba team I knew, but I started being a OKC Thunder fan because of one player, Kevin Durant. He is my favorite player in the Nba, in my opinion he is the best. I also like player like Russel Westbrook and Serge Ibaka but he is the main reason of me following this team.

I'm really disappointed with them this season. After the draft I thought that the Los Angeles Lakers had a chance to get into the playoffs but if they continue playing like this they definitely won't be in there. About the OKC Thunder, I understand the bad start they had because their best two players were injured and that affected them a lot. But I'm optimistic because now that they have recovered from their injuries they have won five of their last four games.

In my opinion the MVP of the season up to now should be Anthony Davis. His stats are incredible and I don't think no one should doubt about my opinion. If you do, be sure to leave your opinion in the comments below.

Here I leave you the best dunks of the 2013-2014 season, enjoy them!

Malala Yousafzai

After the work we've done in groups about the Nobel Prizes in the last years we had to choose a person who we like or has attracted our attention. The one that I have chosen is Malala Yousafzai.

For the ones who don't know, Malala Yousafzai is a Pakistani activist for female education and the youngest-ever Nobel Prize recipient (she received it when she was 17 years old). She is known mainly for human rights advocacy for education and for women in her native province of northwest Pakistan, where the local Taliban had at times banned girls from attending school. Yousafzai's advocacy has since grown into an international movement (Wikipedia).

I've chosen her because of the hard work she has done to gain the right of females to go to school in freedom. She started with this hard work when she was stopped and shot while going to school, the reason for this is because she wrote an article to the BBC about the situation in there, so the Taliban tried to kill her. But she never stopped trying. Before receiving the Nobel Prize she was also nominated for the International Children's Peace Prize.

I think she is an example to follow, because of the hard effort she has done for all of the female in her region, and that also led to all the females in the world.

Violence against women

Hi readers,

For the ones that who don't know the 25th November, was a really important day, for all of us but especially for women. Yesterday was the day to say no to violence against women, and this is a really serious topic to talk about.

For example, one in three women (33 %) has experienced physical and/or sexual violence since she was 15 years old. Many of us think that violence against women only happens in other countries, but the information was collected in Europe, so definitely this violence is nearer than we think.

And this can happen anywhere, anytime, even from we don't expect it to happen. This problem has to be solved, we can't continue ignoring it. Although women claim even more than before, some continue suffering this type of violence and they don't say it because they are afraid of their couple or the person that hurts them.

If you're a women and you suffer this type of violence, don't doubt, say it, because your situation could aggravate. And if you know about someone who suffers it don't doubt neither say it.

NBA Quiz

Hi to everyone,

This time we've been doing different questionnaires with a program called Hot Potatoes. This program allows you to create different exercises or questionnaires in an easy and practical way. All of us have created different questionnaires of different topics. Each of them contains 20 questions and you may have a limited amount of time to finish them. Mine is about the Nba, due to the fact that I'm a basketball and Nba fan. I really hope you like it, and don't forget to leave your opinion in the comments. Good luck!

Social Websites

In this article I'm going to talk about social websites, and give you advice about them. I hope you like it and don't forget to leave comments about any doubts you have.

Social websites like Facebook, TuentiInstagram or Twitter are very popular nowadays. Most or nearly all of the teenagers have an account in one of these social websites.

But if you aren't on one of those websites I can tell you which are the advantages and disadvantages of them.

Firstly, tou can meet new people, make new friends... You can also chat with your friends and it is very useful. You can share many content like videos and photos (mostly in instagram), so that other people can see them. You can know what is other people doing (mostly in twitter). There are websites like tuenti or facebook were you can do lots of things, from sharing and commenting a photo, to playing games.

But this websites have also their risks, there aren't only good things and you have to be careful about them. Anyone can use your information, the things you post... everything. You can get hacked an loose all your content, or someone can trick you pretending to be a person that he or she isn't. This websites have a lot of risks.

So to avoid many of those problems you have to guarantee your privacy in these websites. To do so, you can choose who can see your videos and photos, who can be your friend, and these are things you MUST do, because if you don't anyone can see your content and take information from you.

I hope that this article has been useful for you, and let me know about any question that you have about this in the comments.

Rome, the heart of Italy

For the ones that don't know were Italy is, it is located to the south of Austria, Switzerland and Slovenia. It's in the Mediterranean sea and it has the shape of a boot.

I've always been willing to go there, and some of the reasons of this are that I love pasta and that all the people I know that have been in Italy has told me that is beautiful. I've seen photographs and I've read articles about Italy and I can tell you in advance that in effect, it's great.

Italy, as you imagine, is quite big and there are lots of cities and places that you can visit. You can visit Florence, Turin, Milan, Venice, Naples... But there is a place you must go in Italy, and that's the capital, Rome. Rome is a beautiful city, full of places to go and activities to do.

Moving on I'm going to tell you what places you MUST visit in Rome:

The Pantheon: The Pantheon is one of the best-preserved ancient buildings in the world. Though definitely one for your list of places to visit in Rome, the truth is that it doesn’t really take all that long and you have to remind yourself that you’re looking at a 2,000 year-old building to really understand the magnificence of what you’re viewing.

The Coliseum: Now the Colosseum, that emerges on every list of sites to see in Rome there ever was. And with good reason. Once the largest amphitheatre of the Empire, where gladiators, criminals and lions alike fought for their lives, the Coliseum is an absolute must for any tour of Rome.

The Roman Forum: One of the most famous places to visit in Rome, the Forum was the center of Roman life. Today it lacks its former greatness and needs a bit of imagination to really get the idea but it does have loads to see. There are free tours you can join and these are worthwhile.

The Trevi Fountain: The largest and most iconic fountain in the city, the Trevi Fountain is one of Rome’s top tourist attractions. Resplendent with murals of fables and myths, the fountain attracts thousands of tourists, all keen to throw their coins into its waters…

So definitely don't doubt when going to these places, you won't regret it.
